OUR HISTORY
I Hussain Co Accountants was established by Mr Imtiaz Hussain in 1988 in a single rented room on Dunstable Road. Mr I Hussain has since retired in 2021 after 40 years of working in accountancy.

Mr. Hussain arrived in the United Kingdom in the 1970s as a student to pursue his dream of becoming an accountant. A graduate of the University of Punjab with a degree in Math’s & Physics, he began his accountancy journey in Sheffield with a Foundation Accountancy course.
Having worked with various accountancy practices in the 1970s and early 1980 while studying, Mr. Hussain moved to Luton in 1981. He began working with the local accountancy practice Edmonds & Co, where he was appointed as a trainee Chartered Accountant, eventually qualifying in 1985 as a Chartered Accountant.
Mr. Hussain was able to purchase the practice where he qualified, and thus I Hussain & Co Ltd was established. First, from the single room on Dunstable Road, then a move to Cardigan Street, until finally the move to the current location 11 George Street West.
I Hussain & Co Ltd Accountants has truly remained a family-run firm as the current director Mr. Shahbaz Hussain followed in his father’s footsteps and began working in accountancy with PriceWaterhouseCoopers after graduating and was then able to obtain a training contract with a Milton Keynes-based Accountants. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and then working in various firms, with experience, knowledge, and accountancy qualification, he joined his father in 2006 at I Hussain & Co Ltd as a Practice Accountant.
